TenderLooking out the window watching all the kids playTender
waiting for my turn to get out of the storm
the walls reek of stale perfume and cigarettes
I imagine shes dancing in the shadows
hiding away from the demons
singing a lullaby
comatose and depleted
she slams another and drowns in the smog
the sirens are going off again
drowning out the sound of the screams from inside
she turns her back and makes her descent
and i remain tongue tied and destitute
clawing out of this shell

senses are dull but my vision is slurred
feels like the world is falling up to the sky
splattered on a pallet of blacks and greys
small particles of dust cover the air
the sun went down a long time ago
it left behind a trail of cold
melting the warmth and killing time
clouding thoughts stirring my mind
tangled web of desire and pain
new found thoughts stuck out in the rain
violent storm of sobering obsessions

The hot sun beating down on my face
The hot sweat freezing in her breathe
As I strap myself in and make my descent
There are many paths but I know the way
